Housing and Hostels
Your local council is THE FIRST PLACE you need to contact about your housing needs. If you are homeless or being released from prison, and are eligible for help, the local authority will provide housing advice, assistance and support and will take reasonable steps to prevent you becoming homeless. This is in line with their legal obligations.

The Crash Pad shelter opens from November to May each year and supports homeless young people in crisis and at risk providing a friendly family orientated place that they can rest and feel safe. During their stay at the shelter, the young people are given a bed with clean bedding, towels, dinner and breakfast, access to hot water and bathroom facilities, somewhere to wash and dry their clothes and someone to listen to them and support them throughout their stay.
